Plots, takeovers and Club Credits: the complete explanation of the six-month term, takeover protection, takeover prices, credit value and Club Credits, in one place. It is the wording you agree to when you buy.

Claiming and holding a plot

What am I actually buying?
A six-month advertising licence for a virtual plot in an online resort, and any development you choose to add to it. It is not physical property, not a share, not an investment and not permanent ownership. Nothing here appreciates or pays a return, and there is no bidding against other customers.
A plot lets you display a brand: a name, a logo, a description and a link to your own website.
How much does a plot cost, and how long do I have it?
Every available plot opens at £5. The words "prominent" and "prime" on a few plots describe where they sit on the map; they carry no extra price.
A successful claim or takeover starts a six-month term for you, from the moment the payment settles. The exact end date is shown before you pay, on your plot page and in your account.
Development is £5 a stage on top, and you can add stages in the same payment as the plot.
What happens when my term ends, and can I renew?
Your branding comes off the plot and it opens again at £5 for whoever claims it next; a term that runs its course produces no credits. During the last seven days you can renew for £25 by card, which adds six months from the existing end date. The full rules are in "Plots, takeovers and Club Credits" (sections 1 and 7).
Can somebody take my plot, and what do I get back?
Yes, unless it is protected: every claim starts with 24 hours' protection, and cash spent on the plot earns more. If you are taken over you receive the plot's credit value as Club Credits, never the takeover fee. How protection, takeover prices and the credit value work is explained in one place, "Plots, takeovers and Club Credits" (sections 2 to 4), which is also the wording you agree to at checkout.

Club Credits

What are credits, and when do they expire?
One Club Credit gives £1 off an eligible Claim The Club purchase. Club Credits cannot be transferred, withdrawn or exchanged for cash.
They are not money and have no cash value. Each tranche expires 12 months after it is issued, the oldest-expiring credits are spent first, and your account page shows every tranche with its date. Section 5 of "Plots, takeovers and Club Credits" has the full rules.

Advertising on your plot

What can I put on my plot?
Your brand name, a logo, a short description, a category and a link to your own website. You create a brand once and can place it on as many plots as you own.
Logos must be a PNG, JPEG or WebP. SVG files are not accepted, because an SVG can carry code.
Is my listing checked or endorsed?
No. Paid placement is exactly that: payment for a spot on the map. It is not a professional verification, an accreditation or an endorsement of your business, and the site says so wherever a listing appears.
Development levels describe the plot. They are not a rating of the business on it.
Someone is using our brand. What do I do?
Report it. There is a report link on every plot page, and you do not need an account to use it.
A person reads every report. We may restrict the logo, the description or the outbound link on the listing while we look into it, and the advertiser can appeal that decision. Restricting content never changes who owns the plot or what they paid.
Can I see how many people looked at my plot?
Yes, on your account page: page visits and clicks through to your website. Those numbers are yours and are not shown to anybody else.
Treat them as an indication rather than an audited figure. We do not yet filter automated traffic, and until we do we will not rank anybody by them or put them on a public leaderboard.

I paid with a different email

I bought a plot but it is not on my account
That usually means the payment was made from a different email address — a company card, a colleague's account, a personal address.
Go to Link a purchase from your account page, give the address the payment was made from, and we will send a code to it. Enter the code and the purchases move across.
Why does the code go to the other address and not to me?
Because being able to read that mailbox is what proves the purchase is yours to move. If we sent the code to whoever asked, anybody could claim anybody else's purchases by typing their address.
The code did not arrive
Check the spam folder of the address the payment was made from, not the one you signed in with.
If there are no purchases from that address, no code is sent. We deliberately do not say which of the two happened, because that would let anyone test whether a given company has bought anything here.
That mailbox no longer exists
Contact support with the plot code and roughly when the purchase was made. We can move it for you, but only after checking that it is yours.
Anything support does is recorded in the same audit trail as a code you use yourself.
I typed the code wrong too many times
After five wrong attempts a code is cancelled. Request a new one — there is no penalty beyond having to ask again.

Refunds, cancellation and closure

Can I get a refund?
Your advertising placement begins when payment settles. Payments are normally non-refundable once the service has started. We will correct or refund duplicate or incorrect charges, and provide the remedies required if the service is not supplied as described or applicable law requires otherwise.
An agreed takeover is part of the service and does not create a cash-refund right; a term that runs its six months produces no refund and no credits; unused or expired Club Credits cannot be exchanged for cash. Duplicate or incorrect charges are corrected or refunded to the card that paid, and Stripe refunds and payment disputes go through our payment exception process. The full position is on the Refunds and cancellations page.
How do I complain, and who am I buying from?
Complaints can be sent to info@claimtheclub.com. We will acknowledge a complaint promptly and normally answer it within 14 days. Nothing on this page removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
You are buying from Ludren Technologies Limited; the full company details are on the Contact page. Claim The Club is provided for customers purchasing advertising for business, trade, craft or professional purposes.
What if Claim The Club closes?
If the club is ever wound down, closure is announced at least six months ahead and shown on every page. From the announcement there are no new cash purchases, takeovers or renewals; existing terms and protection are honoured up to the closure date; and credits can be spent on available plots and development until a published final-use date, after which remaining credits expire.
Credits have no cash value and there is no cash redemption. Closure and expiry remain subject to your statutory rights.
